After being outplayed during the first half, Mexborough rallied, and were only beaten 3—2 in an exciting finish on the Scarborough ground last, night.

Scarborough led 2—0 at half-time, and within seven minutes had increased their lead, but Mexborough fought back pluckily, and Wilson and Fleetwood scored for them.

Hodson, King, and Wallbanks scored for Scarborough.
