Able-Seaman T. H. Swaby son of Mr. and Mrs. Swaby, of 1, Shelley-st, Mexboro’, was hit at Cambrai on Sep. 27, and is now in hospital in Newcastle-on-Tyne, with a bullet wound of the left hand, the thumb of which has been amputated.

He has been serving three and a half years, in Egypt and France.

He is 23, and prior to enlistment was employed at Messrs. Barron’s glassworks. A brother, Driver S. Swaby, is serving in France.
