Schoolmaster Joins Navy.

Mr. Frank Langley, a member of the staff of Mexborough Secondary School, who registered for service in June, last week joined the Navy and is now undergoing training as a signaller.

Mr. Langley. who is married, is son of and Mrs. A. M. Langley, of Portsmouth, and in joining the Navy he carries, on a family tradition

His father served in the Navy, until 12 years ago, and re-joined on the outbreak of the present war.

Mr. Langley came to Mexborough just over three years ago and was previously a member of the staff of the Northern Boys’ Secondary School, Portsmouth.

At Mexborough, he has taken evening classes at the Schofield Technical Institute and has himself been a member of the Drama Class.
