Following Father

Able Seaman Fred Cockram, eldest son of Mr and Mrs W Cockram, of 6I, Chaucer Road, Mexborough has been in the Navy for four months.

He attended Adwick Rd, School, and before joining up worked up Messrs Baker’s and Bessemer Ltd.

His father served for four years in the last war on a mine sweeper.
