News from Prisoner.
A prisoner of war card, the second to reach this country since he was taken prisoner by the Japanese 2 ½ years ago, has been received from A/B. Frank Boyes (26), second son of Mr. and_Mrs. E. Boyes, 14, Pym Road, Mexborough.
He states: “Still fit, received letter from mother, looking forward reunion, no cause worry.”
A/B. Boyes was a survivor from the Repulse, but was captured in Malaya, where he was taken after being picked up.
Formerly employed at a Mexborough tailor’s shop, he joined up four years ago. He was a well-known Rover Scout. He was married three years ago, and his wife lives at 29, Blyth Avenue, Rawmarsh
