Sad Mexborough Tragedy.
Two Mexboro’ children, William and Raymond Orgill, aged 4 and 2 respectively, sons of George T. Orgill, of 11, Crossgate, were left at home in company with Frank Grant (aged 3), yesterday afternoon, and about two hours later Grant told Mrs. Selina Bisby that “William and Raymond were floating in the canal.”
Both bodies were recovered from the canal near the Barnsley British Co-operative Warehouse.
Artificial respiration was attempted without success.
