Our photographer was up with the lark to get this photograph at Mexborough yesterday morning when this party went to Cleethorpes on an outing organised by the Ladies’ Committee of Mexborough branch of the Royal Artillery Association.

There were approximately 60 children of ex-Artillerymen; each was taken free of charge and each received five shillings. The outing was made possible by various events organised by the Ladies’ Committee, of which Mrs Burns is Chairman and Mrs Nicholson (Conisbrough) hon. secretary.
