Rotary Club President

Mexborough Elect Rotn. T. R. Squires

Rotn. T. R. Squires was elected President of the Mexborough and District Club at Tuesday’s annual election of officers. By a happy coincidence Rotn. Squires also received on Tuesday the Club Golf Cup which he won last week in the half-yearly competition held on the Wath Golf Club course.

The presentation was made by the President, Rotn. F S. Green, who presided.

Other appointments made were: Vice-president, Rotn A. J. Bishop; secretary, Rotn. E. W. Spaven; treasurer, Rotn. C. M. Hattersley; new     members of Club Council, Rotns. I. Campbell, Si C. Hacking and H. Rawding.

On the motion of Rotn. H. G. Constable it was decided to record on the Club minutes appreciation of the excellent service rendered to the Club as secretary by Rotn. D. Russell.

Rotn. Russell, who has relinquished the position through pressure of other duties, thanked the Club for their tribute.
