Printer’s Retirement

Help with the first issue of The Times Mr.  James Clayton, a compositor, and for several years foreman of the composing department, retired from the service of the South Yorkshire Times on Wednesday.

Mr Clayton had throughout his 55 years with the firm in an almost perfect timekeeper, and a more faithful and loyal servant.
