Plastic Poses
A charming group of dancers, who performed at a garden party in connection with Mexborough Parish Church last week.
The troupe is formed from the “Kings Messengers” and the “Ministering Children’s League,” which are sections of the Mexborough branch of the Girls Friendly Society, and the dancers are trained by Miss Mabel Spring, who is seen in the photograph in the rear to the right.
They are shown giving an exhibition of “plastic poses,” and they have quite an extensive repertoire of picturesque dances.
The names of the dancers are: Ethel Gregson, Mabel Spring, Phyllis Waterworth, Renee Rose, Nora Richardson, Mary Oliver, Nora Levers, Mary Baron, Margaret Shillito and Mabel Healy.
