Pastorate Resigned

The Rev. Kenneth Bond has resigned the pastorate of the Three Christian Church, Mexborough which he has held since January, 1927. Mr. Bond has accepted a “call” to the united churches of Moreton, and Hampstead and Newton Abbot in Devonshire.

Mr. Bond was born at Cuttack Bengal, where his grandfather was a Baptist missionary. Educated in England, Mr. Bond returned to India, and later went to Tasmania. After a short stay there he returned to England and entered the Baptist College at Nottingham, and was trained for the Baptist ministry.

His first pastorate was Swadlincote, South Derbyshire, which he held for fourteen years. He then took up the pastorate of Desford, Leicestershire, for two years.

He resigned at the time of the “New Theology” crisis and joined the Unitarian Church. Since then he has held pastorates at Leicester, Chesterfield, St, Helen’s, and Mexborough.

Mr. Bond has a considerable talent for painting and during his stay at Mexborough has done much to beautify the Interior of the church.

He takes over his new duties during February.
