One For Sorrow, Two For Joy . .

Four young magpies have been more than a joy to Mrs. Jeanette Green, of Winfield Road, Wath-on-Dearne. The forlorn nestful (the mother bird was dead) was brought to her and she has reared the fledglings in the aviary at her home.

But again, she’s an expert. She is secretary of Mexborough and District Cagebirds Society and her husband (also a Society official) and children are all enthusiasts and highly successful she, exhibitors.
