Oliver Signs Pro. Forms for Denaby United

Twenty-two-years-old Arthur Oliver, the only Mexborough play to appear with Denaby United Midland League side this season, has been signed by the club or, professional forms.

Arthur. 6ft., 14 ½ st., made his second appearance in the Midland League side on Saturday, when he stood in for ex-League pivot Howard Johnson.

United officials were so impressed by his display that he was signed immediately after the match.

Mr. Arthur Roberts, secretary-manager, said this week: “He gave a very able performance. I have no doubts that he will become an asset to the club.”

Arthur, of Wood Street Mexborough, is employed by the Y.E.B.
