Obituary – Gordon John Hallgate Arundel

The death occurred at Mexborough Montagu Hospital on Saturday of Mr. Gordon John Holgate Arundell,  of Wath Road, Mexboro’.

Mr. Arundell was 27 and well known in Adwick – on – Dearne, where he was born, Mr. Arundell was employed by Sheffield Petroleum Pool, and had served six years in the Royal Army Service Corps during the war.

He attained the ‘rank of Mechanical Staff Sergeant, and was demobilised a year ago. He leaves a widow and two children. The interment took place at Mexborough on Wednesday.
