Mexborough Outclassed by Strong Notts County Side.

Visiting Notts County Reserves for a Midland League match at Meadow Lane, yesterday Mexborough Athletic found the opposition very strongly represented. The South Yorkshire side were for the most part outclassed, and beaten by 3-0.

Before the interval, the County only scored once, Keetley netting. The visitors ought to have been on level terms, but Liversidge missed a penalty awarded against Watson for a foul on Fisher.

In the second half, Feeney and Burgon (H.) obtained further goals for the County.
