Mr FB Whitman, Northern Typographical Association organiser, making a presentation a gold watch, on behalf of the Mexborough section of the Association on Monday to Mr JT Rowan, an employee of the “Times” Printing company Ltd, who recently relinquished the position of president of the local section of sold it for 35 years.

Mr J Clayton (centre) a former employee of the “Times” Company, was also the recipient of a presentation. Mr EW Sykes, secretary of the section, is on the left of the picture.
