Nominated For County Council.

Coun. G. M. Hanson, of 12, Byron Road, Mexborough, has been nominated to fill a vacancy on the West Riding County Council caused by the resignation of Mr. Jesse Walton to take up his appointment as Regional Investigation Officer under the Ministry of Fuel and Power along with four other members of the Labour Party to the Mexborough U.D.C. in 1936.

He holds many official positions, among them that of chairman of Mex-borough A.R.P. Committee. He is a member of the Don Valley Joint A.R.P. Committee, chairman of the Mexborough Education Sub-Committee, member of Mexborough.
