Has Spent Five Years in Essex

After five years in Essex Mr Alan Henry, the new Mexborough Area Youth Officer and a former Chesterfield man, is glad to be working in the north of England again.

He started his working life in Chesterfield, after having qualified as a teacher at Matlock College of Education.

After a year he took up a teaching post in South Ockenden, Essex, and then became interested in youth work. He became if part-time youth leader and later a Warden at Barretts Youth Centre, South Ockenden.

Mr Henry is married, and he and his wife, Cynthia, and children Ian (3) and Alison (two months) live in Park Rd, Swinton.

He is interested in football, cricket and badminton.
