Mishap To Bride.
Breaks Ankle Shortly After Ceremony.

Within few hours of her wedding at the Mexborough Parish Church, Mrs. Lane, 11, Dryden road, Mexborough, formerly Miss Jessie Shaw, daughter Mr. and Mrs. F. Shaw, at the same address broke her ankle and the doctors say it will two months before she is able to go out again.

After the ceremony at the Parish Church yesterday, Mrs- Lane went to her house and. after staying there for few minutes, went out again with the intention of seeing friends in the same street.

She still wore her bridal veil and on the way slipped on the ice and broke her ankle. She was brought back into the house and lay on the couch unconscious for over half an hour.

Dr. Gardener was called in, and ordered her removal to the Mexborough Montagu Hospital, where she underwent X-ray treatment She is now staying with friends in Dryden road. Her wedding day was also her birthday.
