Mischievous Lads.
Two respectable looking lads, William Wilkinson, and Robert Lowe, a glasshand, both of Mexborough, were summoned for doing wilful damage to bricks, the property of Messrs. G. B. Smith & Co. Ltd., on Sunday, May 26th.
P.c. Stafford said at 8.30 p.m. he was in plain clothes when he saw the lads on scaffolding. One of them was throwing down bricks and breaking them. He took Lowe’s name and later he saw Wilkinson’s mother.
Lowe said he went up the ladder.
The Clerk; You know you had no business going up the ladder at all ? – Yes
Each defendant was fined 10s.
