Mexborough Wrestling
A new series of all in wrestling programmes promoted by the Mexborough Sports Stadium Wrestling Club will started in the Olympia Hall at Mexborough on Friday evening.
Douglas Clark, the famous Huddersfield heavy-weight champion, will top the bill in opposition to Carilefski of Poland, who is described the winner of many international tournaments. The contest is over six ten minute rounds.
The main supporting bout brings together two South Yorkshire wrestlers. Young Hutchinson, of Wath and Carlton of Barnsley, both heavyweights with good records.
In the other contests, Pete Unwin. Wath, opposes Tommy of Doncaster and Bruce Latimer, of London, opposes Joss Roddell of Bradford. Andy Beattie, the well-known Wath on-Dearne wrestler, will act as referee.
