Long Service At Hospital
After nearly 50 years of service in various capacities at the Mexborough Montagu Hospital, Mr. Harry Thompson, assistant secretary, has retired under the new age limit adopted at the institution.
Mr. Thompson has served under every chairman since the formation of the hospital, and has become widely and popularly known among all hospital supporters.
A native of Little Eaton, Derbyshire, Mr. Thompson, joined the L.M.S. Railway service in 1873, and removed to Swinton as signalman in 1889.
