Lucky Lads !
Arthur Gillott, a Mexborough glass worker, and two little boys, George and Jack Owen, whom he rescued from the canal at Mexborough last week in circumstances described in our last issue.
He pulled out Jack with a boat hook, and did not know that George (the little boy on the fence) was in the water until he saw him clinging to Jack’s ankle.
Mr. Gillott, who cannot swim, has by his promptitude effected five rescues from drowning in the canal at Mexborough and at Swinton,
