Killed at Play at Mexborough.
A child, aged 12 years, daughter of painter named Beckitt, living at Mexborough, met with her death yesterday under distressing circumstances.
She was playfully swinging on a gate, when a massive stone support at one end gave way and dropped upon the little one she fell to the ground. She was crushed so badly that death was instantaneous.
