Hospital Board Chairman

Coun. G. S. Morley Appointed

Coun. G.S. Morley, a Mexborough U.D.C. representative on the Doncaster and Mexborough Joint Hospital Board, is the first Mexborough man to be appointed the Board’s chairman.

On Wednesday at the meeting at Conisborough, the retiring chairman, Mrs. E. Hingrose, moved Coun. Morley’s election, and this was seconded by Coun. J. H. White. Coun. G. Oldfield (Conisborough), was elected vice-chairman.

After a circular regarding the Fire Prevention Order had been read, the Clerk pointed out that the Medical Officer had made arrangements which had been approved by the Surveyor of the local authority, and Mr. G. Cranfield said he was sure the Board appreciated the doctor’s valuable assistance.
