Numerous congratulatory messages were received by Mr Mrs Benjamin Branford, of 21 Cromwell Rd, Mexborough, on Monday, the 50th anniversary of their wedding.
Aged 76, and a native of March, Cambridgeshire, Mr Branford is an active member of the Montagu Hospital Board of management.
His wife, with 77, was born at Lincoln.
Until his retirement, Mr Branford worked at Manvers Main colliery. They have lived in their present house for over 37 years.

Here is a picture of Mr and Mrs B Branford, of Cromwell Road, Mexborough, a report of whose golden Wedding appeared in our last issue which was incorrectly stated that Mr Branford is a member of the Montagu Hospital Board of Management.
Mr Branford has been forming of many juries at Mexborough inquests.
