Alderman Tom Tuby, of Doncaster, whose family has been closely connected with Mexborough for many years.

He is the creator of, the modern Mexborough Feast, owner of the fairground, and for over fifty years the principal amusement caterer.

Of all the fairs which Alderman Tuby and his shows visit, Mexborough is his favourite.
