Gang Terrorises Mexboro’ District.

Harry Bucknell, John Holt, and John Tingle, pony drivers, Mexbro’, were charged at Doncaster West Riding Court to-day with stealing milk belonging to Charles Green, farmer, Mexbro, the 26th ult.

Prosecutor said that he had missed milk on several occasions, and he understood that the defendants were members of the “Red Brotherhood.” They had threatened him.

A witness named Harry Risbrook said that he saw six men, including the defendants, go into prosecutor’s field and milk a cow and drink the milk. They took about one and a half gallons. They had since been him and threatened to kill him and to poison his pigs for giving their names the prosecutor.

Mr. Blackmore, who appeared for the prosecution, said the defendants were not only members of the “Red Brotherhood” gang, but they were a terror of the district and terrorised the whole of the people.

Defendants were committed for one month, and along with a pony driver named David Shaw, were fined 5s. and costs for gaming with cards.
