Festival Blow

Owing to illness among members of competing societies, there have been three withdrawals from the one act play class at Mexborough Musical Festival, which is to held this week.

The start, which was proposed to be made in the Olympia Hall to night, will now be delayed until Thursday.

Originally there were nine entries in the section, and tonight and Thursday night were allocated for staging the plays, but since there are now only six entries, the whole class will he decided Thursday night.

There is record number of entries in both musical and dramatic sections for this year’s festival, and four halls will be utilised on Friday and Saturday
