Engagement

Miss Betty Smith.

The engagement is announced of Miss , Betty Smith, M.B.B.O., O.T.D.S., youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith, 1 Bank Street, Mexborough, to Mr. Norman Linton only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Linton, “Kingsway,” Townmoor Avenue, Doncaster.

Miss Smith is a member of the British Ballet Organisation and is on the staff of the Convent Collegiate School, Doncaster.

Mr Linton is on the surveying staff of Manvers Main Collieries, and is a member of Hickleton Golf Club.

His father was formerly agent and manager at Barnburgh Main Colliery, and is now general manager of the Terrar Iron Ore Company, Newquay, Cornwall.
