Gold and Silver Weddings

Christmas Day in the Black family will be a great day, for not only will heads of the family, Mr. and Mrs Arthur Black, 58. Crossgate Mexborough, celebrate their Golden Wedding but their second son, Mr. Charles Black, and his wife, 66, Smeaton Road, Upton, will celebrate their Silver Wedding.

Mr  and Mrs. Black, senior, were married at Dronfield Parish Church in 1897, and have resided in Mexborough for 34 years. They kept grocery and general dealer’s shop  in Doncaster Road. Mexborough. and it was from this house Mr. Charles Black Married Miss Annie Fletcher at Mexborougb on Christmas Day.
