Druids’ Presentation

At the meeting of the Watson’s Delight Lodge of Druids on Saturday the presentation of a barometer was made to Bro. Ernest Law. of Mexborough, in recognition of his attaining the office of District Grand Master.

Bro. G. N.G.A. Popplewell presided, and the presentation was made by Bro. L. W. Mawson (treasurer), who said Mr. Law always taken a great interest in the work of the lodge and the Order, and was an honest and conscientious worker. The lodge were proud that three of their members had reached that position.

Mr. Law, returning thanks, said it was a satisfaction to him to find everywhere lodge officials carrying on the work so well, and thus making his term of office a very pleasant one.

Bro. W. Brown P.D.G.M. presented a tea service to Mrs. Law.

The chairman, Bro. C. W. Fuller and Bro. W. Tyas, also paid compliments to the wear of Mr. and Mrs. Law, and Mrs. Law, replying. said she had been associated with this lodge for 38 years and her father was one of those who helped to form it. Mr. Law became a member of the lodge in 1906 and was elected secretary in 1923, a position he still holds.
