The success of the Adwick Road Evening School Choir in London on Saturday brings yet another reminder of the work of Mr Arthur Butler, senior, for music in Mexborough.
Mr Butler has taking part in the London Musical Festival 20 times; his choirs have won the Male Voice Choir section on six occasions, the Choral Society section on four occasions, and also in winning numerous second and third prizes.
He has now had a hand in the winning of 43 first prizes and many second and third prizes at leaning festivals in England, including London, Blackpool, Morcambe, Leicester, Cleethorpes, Mexborough, Bristol and Nottingham.
