Choir’s Gift To Mr A. Butler

Some seventy members and friends of the Mexborough and District, Choral Society were at the Ivanhoe Hotel, Sprotborough, on Saturday, to see Mr. Coates, oldest member, present an inscribed gold wrist watch to Mr. A. Butler, their retiring conductor.

Mr. Butler, whose retirement has followed ill-health, has been in charge of the choir for the past nine years. He has been made an honorary member

After the presentation, the choir conducted by Mr, Butler, sang their prizewinning selections.
