Miss Elaine Hicks, Park Road, Mexborough, receives a price of an electric iron from Mr WH Metcalfe, while Mrs Edith Rogers, Kimberworth holds a table lamp which she won.

Both ladies were winners in a cake baking competition organised by the Electrical Association for women.

The presentation took place in St Aidan’s Hall Mexborough on Monday.
