“Bon Voyage” for Singapore Family

Sgt and Mrs KE Havenhand entertain relatives and friends at the Empress Rooms, Mexborough on Wednesday at a “Bon voyage” party before their departure yesterday (Thursday) for Singapore.

They have been on leave in Mexborough following their departure from Germany, and with their three children will spent 2 ½ years in the Far East.

Guests include Staff Sergeant Havenhand’s mother, Mrs Nora Havenhand, who came over from the States to spend Easter with a son and daughter-in-law, Mrs Havenhand’s parent from Mr and Mrs Ella, of Park Rd, Wath, and the Wath and Swinton relatives.

The buffet meal including an ice cake decorated with two aircraft and a “Bon voyage” message.
