“Black Diamonds,” at Mexborough
Mexborough will be the first town in South Yorkshire to show “Black Diamonds,” the mining film made by Mr. C. Hanmer, of Goldthorpe, and “shot” mainly in this district.
The film, now showing in London, will be seen at the Empire during the autumn.
Mr. J. J. Woffinden hopes that Mr. Hanmer will be available to give a short account of how and why he made the film.
Mr. Woffinden has booked for September 12th and following week “The Three Virginians.” who recently broadcast from a Manchester theatre and will come to Mexborough from the Adelphi (London), where they are at present appearing in non-stop variety.
