Birmingham Post for Mexborough Nurse

Nurse Olga L. M. Stocker, daughter of Mr and Mrs Stocker, of 14, Genoa Street, Mexborough, has obtained the post of School Nurse with the City of Birmingham Education Department, and this follows her recent marriage at Mexborough to Mr Lloyd Stocker, of 1168, Yardley Wood Road, Warstock, Birmingham.

Nurse Stocker, who was educated at Mexborough Grammar School, became a student nurse at Booth Hall Hospital in 1939, and after passing the preliminary and State examinations in children’s nursing, went to Doncaster Royal Infirmary to continue her training, in 1944.

She passed her final State examination in general nursing in July this year.
