B.A. Degree with Honours

Mr. Walter Theophilus Gething, aged 22, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Gething, 87, Main Street, Mexborough, has taken the B.A. degree with honours at the Sheffield University and is to receive it at the degree congregation on Saturday.

Mr. Gething was born in Doncaster Road, Mexboro’ and attended the Doncaster Road and Garden Street Council Schools and the Mexborough Secondary School.

He is a trained musician and for some years was solo chorister and deputy organist at St. George’s Church, Mexborough.
