Art Master’s Distinction

Mr. F. S. Hacking, who for the last eight years has held the post of Art Master at the Mexborough Secondary School, has for the second time achieved the distinction of having one of his pictures hung “on the line” in the Royal Academy.

Mr.Hacking’s first success was in 1915, with a landscape study, the subject being Peel, Isle of Man.

This year’s picture, “Les Bas Sablons.” was painted in Brittany in 1926. and depicts a picturesque corner of the town of St. Servan.

Mr. Hacking has also exhibited at the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle.
