An Honours Degree At Oxford

Mr. Peter W. Crabtree (22), son of Mr, and Mrs, Herbert Crabtree of 17 Makin Street, Mexborough, has gained an Honours degree in Chemistry at Oxford University.

Mr. Crabtree, won a scholarship to Mexboro’ grammar School, from Doncaster Road school, later gained County Major and State scholarships, followed by a scholarship in natural sciences at Oxfords

In 1967 he commenced studies at Oriel College. His main outside interest is in caving and potholing.

He is secretary of the Oxford Caving Club and a member of the British Spieliological Society. He will be returning to Oxford next term for research work and for classification of his degree.
