Although he is only 18, L.A./c. Paul White, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. White, of 41, Wellington Street, Mexborough, has been in the R.A.F. for eight months and is now training to be pilot.

He has been recommended this week for promotion. Born at Thurnscoe, he attended Mexborough Secondary School and before joining the R.A.F. was on the surveying staff at Barnburgh Colliery.
