Lance/Corporal Austin Blagbrough of the R.A.F., only son of Mr. J. Blaghrough, of Garden Street, Mexborough is serving in France. He will be remembered for his bowling prowess with Mexborough Cricket Club.

Before joining the R.A.F. he was in the Insurance business in Kent.

He attended Adwick Road School, and later, Mexborough Secondary School, and received his colours for cricket at the Secondary School.
