Airman Fatally Injured

Mr, and Mrs. G. Biggins 50, Market Street, Mexborough, who in June, 1940 lost their youngest son, Wireless Operator Air Gunner George Kenneth Biggins, on active service in the African campaign, had more bad news last week-end, when they heard that their second son, L.A.C. Walter Barron Biggins (37). had been injured in an accident at where he was stationed. He died In a military hospital on Friday.

Mr. Biggins was in business as a hairdresser in Market Street before the war. He joined the Royal Air Force in Dec.1940, and went over to the Continent last November. His earlier service was spent in Balloon Command. He had been actively associated with the local ramblers’ club. Mr. and Mrs. Biggins’ third son, Mr, Sydney Biggins, has just been released after five and a half years in the Navy.
