A Reclaimed Desert

This is a photograph of Councillor Fowler’s garden, which adjoins the land given by him for

use as a public recreation ground, and is shown in the photograph.

The picture is interested in showing the possibilities of cultivation in a most promising area.

Two or three years ago this garden was waste and barren land.
