Soldier – Padgett F. – Severe Wound

December 1917

Mexborough and Swinton Times December 22, 1917

Gunner F. Padgett
Royal Field Artillery

Gunner Padgett, 38, Oliver-street, Mexboro’, formerly of Wombwell, has for some time been in hospital in Glasgow with a severe wound in the right arm.

By careful attention the use of the arm has been largely preserved to him. He has been serving two years and nine months, and he was formerly employed at Mitchell Main.

He is a married man with one child, and is now awaiting his discharge.

A younger brother was discharged some time ago on medical grounds.
