Civic Goodwill

This group was taken inside the new Montague Burton Store in Mexborough on Friday, immediately after Mr. Arnold Shaw (second from the left, seated) had cut a silk ribbon stretched over the threshold and formally opened the establishment.

The group, which includes civic and industrial representatives, also includes (seated from left to right), Mr. Stanley H. Burton B.A., eldest son of Sir Montague Burton; Mr. A. W. Wansbrough (deputy managing director), and Mr. W. Winstanley.
