Private Ernest Unwin (22), youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Unwin of 6, Cowood Street, Mexborough, was called up in July 1939.

He was educated at Roman Terrace School, and before being called up was employed at Messrs. Taylor and Son, Don Foundry, Swinton.

He is now serving with the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment
