Died In Italy
Taken ill In Italy Bdr, Arthur Blakemore, R.A. eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Blakemore, of 66, Frederick Street, Mexborough, died on February 2nd.
Bdr, Blakemore, who was within a week of his 25th birthday, married Miss Taylor, of 33, Garden Street, Mexborough, in August, 1942, and his wife is serving with the W.AAF.
He worked in a Mexborough grocery store before joining the Army in 1936 and was seriously injured during a blitz on the South Coast. He recovered and was drafted abroad in December, 1942, Bdr. Blakemore had seen service in North Africa, Sicily and Italy
