Lance Corporal Walton

Lance Corporal Walton, 30 Pitt Street, Mexborough, son of Mr Mrs Frank Walton, is home on leave from Salonica after a continuous spell of 38 months active service, including 12 months in France.
He has been in the Army 10 years, and was in the Chinese rebellion of 1912, at Canton and Hankow.
He took part in very heavy fighting in the second battle of Ypres, April 1915, and in other engagements in Flanders in the summer of that year.
He returns to Salonica next week
